Credit or debit card details used to secure any and all bookings must be presented upon Check-in and will be used to take the full booking cost via the Chip and PIN payment method only, otherwise guests may pay by cash. If you are booking on behalf of someone else to Check-in, you will need to inform us via email or fax, prior to arrival. The email or fax must confirm the following details: you, or the company you are representing, are the cardholder; the last 4 digits of the credit or debit card; the full name and address of the person(s) checking-in; and you are allowing us to debit the stated credit or debit card for the full booking cost on behalf of the person(s) stated.

Card Pre-Authorisation Policy
We may, at our own discretion, pre-authorise credit or debit cards prior to arrival.
Check-in is from 2:00pm. Guests arriving before 2:00pm can leave luggage at the Hotel Reception. Rooms are to be occupied by the pre-booked guest(s) only and they must be over 18 years of age unless otherwise agreed with the Hotel Management. No additional persons may enter the room. We take the full booking payment upon Check-in and, for your security, all credit or debit card payments are taken via the Chip and PIN payment method only, unless otherwise agreed with the Hotel Management. Fast-foods and/or take-away are permitted on premises.
Parking Permits Policy
We have a limited number of parking permits available; therefore, they will be issued on a first-come-first-serve basis and will be limited to 1 per room. Once issued, Jesmond Hotel does not accept responsibility for parking fines and/or any other issues that may arise. All parking permits must be returned at the Hotel Reception upon Checkout. Reservations made through third parties may incur extra charges for parking permits.
If you fail to return the parking permit, the credit or debit card used to secure the booking will be charged up to £500.00 for a replacement.
Checkout is up to 11:00am. Late checkout fines will apply after 11:30am (For further details, please ask at the Hotel Reception). Fines will apply for any damages caused in or around the Jesmond Hotel premises (including rooms) and/or to any property of Jesmond Hotel. Heavily soiled towels will incur a fine for replacement.
Booking Cancellations and No-Show Policies
The free cancellation policy is valid up to 48 hours prior to Check-in. Cancellations made within 48 hours prior to Check-in will be subject to the booking cost of the 1st night only. A ‘No-Show’ will be subject to the full booking cost.
Group Booking Policy (4+ rooms)
We take a 40% deposit upon booking and will take the remaining balance 7 days prior to Check-in. The free cancellation policy is valid up to 7 days prior to Check-in. No-show and/or late cancellations will be subject to the full booking cost (At Manager’s discretion).
The ‘Great North Run’ Weekend Booking Policy
A minimum 2-night stay must be booked. We take the full booking payment 30 days prior to Check-in. The free cancellation policy is valid up to 30 days prior to Check-in.
Printing is available at the Hotel Reception at 30p per page.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in our premises. Anyone found not complying with this policy will be subject to a £100.00 fine in addition to the full booking cost and will be asked to vacate the premises.
Free WiFi is available (For further details, please ask at the Hotel Reception). We will not accept responsibility for any service issues with the Internet Service Provider as this is out of our control.
Children, Cots and Extra Beds Policy
Children, Cots and Extra Beds are to be booked prior to arrival only and Cots and Extra Beds are subject to availability. Children up to 2 years of age can stay free of charge and have access to cots at no additional cost. Extra beds are available for children up to 12 years of age at an additional cost of £20.00. We can only allow a maximum of 1 Cot or Extra Bed per room. Anyone not complying with this policy will be asked to vacate the premises and will still be subject to the full booking cost.
